On April 9, 2018, a seminar on the topic of “Religious Freedom in the People’s Republic of China” was held in the School of Law at the University of Notre Dame Australia (UNDA) in Sydney, where Mr. Michael Quinlan, Dean of Law at this School of Law hosted the seminar. Ms. Rosita Šorytė, the chairperson of the International Observatory of Religious Liberty of Refugees (ORLIR), gave a speech on the contested religion-based refugee claims and the case of the persecution of The Church of Almighty God Christians, and appealed that countries who signed international law treaties should grant the persecuted Christians refugee status.
